Cookies and local storage
What Signal OS stores or reads on your device, why it is used and how to choose. Optional analytics stays off until you accept it.
Last updated 16 September 2026 · Revision 2026-09-16.v1Your analytics choice
Choose Accept optional or Reject optional in the consent control. Both choices leave the website available. Optional measurement starts only after acceptance; closing or ignoring the control is not consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.
A local-storage preference named signalos.cookie-consent remembers your choice for 180 days (about six months). It records the notice version, your choice, the time recorded and expiry time, not an advertising identifier or browsing history. An expired preference or a material notice-version change requires a new choice.
If storage is unavailable, optional analytics remains off. A saved opt-out from the previous analytics control is honoured. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals keep optional analytics off even if an earlier choice accepted it.
Optional website statistics
With consent, a first-party script sends limited page and interaction information to Signal OS to produce aggregate daily statistics. This includes a normalised public-page path, selected actions, coarse referral categories and approved campaign labels from the current page. It does not create an analytics visitor ID or a record of one person’s journey.
We use these counts to improve the website, not for advertising or cross-site tracking. The documented retention period for aggregate counts is up to 25 months. Hosting and security providers separately process connection information needed to deliver and protect requests.
Necessary account and security storage
The authenticated application uses session and request-verification cookies to maintain a signed-in session and protect changes to your workspace. Disabling that necessary storage may prevent sign-in or account functions.
When a protected form is available, Cloudflare Turnstile processes device and network information to reduce automated abuse. This security function is separate from optional analytics. Cloudflare also explains its own processing for improving bot detection in its Turnstile privacy notice.
Pricing, checkout and your preferences
When configured, Paddle’s script supports localised pricing previews as well as checkout. Paddle may process connection information and use storage needed to provide these features, according to its privacy notice. It is separate from Signal OS’s optional analytics.
When checkout is available, session storage may retain a random request key linked to the submitted order to help prevent duplicate checkout attempts. This ends with the browser session and is not used for marketing attribution.
Current-page campaign information submitted with a form is not saved as a cross-page marketing profile. Browser or operating-system settings may also let you remove site storage. Removing storage erases the remembered analytics choice and can separately end a login or checkout session.
